Notes from Annabel and Fiona

Annabel actually gave Fiona a Winnie-the-Pooh baby journal for her first born.  As they marvelled at Annabel's momentary lapse in taste (because the book was free)  they dreamed up the perfect baby book.  A Book About Me, like our children, is not perfect - but not through lack of trying and planning!

Must haves:

• the design needed to be stylish, gender neutral and not so trendy that it dated.  Thanks to Danielle O'Brien for dreaming up the stripes which we fell in love with.  Fiona's first child photographed like a monkey until he was one, so she wondered why people would want to glue photos of their newbowns next to the stylized, photoshopped versions in some baby books.
  
  
• it needed to be FLEXIBLE!  How many babies have 4 grandparents anymore?  This book allows you to illustrate your own family, ensuring no important people are left out.  If you are like both Annabel and Fiona, you know when your kids got their first four teeth, and then sort of lost track of the rest - you can pull out the Teeth page.
  
  
• we wanted to include the father's experience as well as the mother's.  Father's have been mysteriously under recognised in baby book history!
  
  
• there is plenty of space for you to add photos, and to jot down memories as you go.
  
  
• there is no author's name on the cover.  This isn't our baby book, it belongs to you.  You don't need our name in big lights on the cover.
